Thrive, Nurture and Grow When the Odds are Against You

During the last two years of my mother’s life, I worked as her full-time health care aide. And while, at times. Life was incredibly hard. I reinvented myself as:

* A life design coach

* Speaker

* Podcaster

* Mentor to my co-host of the ‘Life Is A Classroom Podcast’, Sam who contemplated suicide four years ago

* Started the Life Is a Classroom Foundation to honour my deceased parents, Joseph who passed away from cancer in February 2004 and Celia who passed away from vascular dementia in May 2023.

We can do hard things and thrive.

This book is a testament to just that.

This week we interview Adriano \"Bubba\" Almony. Bubba is an award-winning celebrity bodyguard with an extensive martial arts background and was a national champion. He is also the founder of Bubba's Celebrity Basketball Game, an annual event that you can learn all about in this episode. He was honored as the 2020 Humanitarian of the Year by LV Magazine and the 2020 Best Celebrity Security by The Buzz Magazine in Morocco.
